Lawnscraping challenge

I have been crafting for the past few years but have just starting getting into cardmaking this year.  I have been acquiring a lot of stamps especially Lawn Fawn over the past few months and figured I should start sharing my cards with the world.  When I saw this Lawnscaping challenge I knew that I wanted to make a card for the Orlando shooting victims.  I have lived in Orlando for the past 8 years and this has really shaken us.

To create my card I used Candied Apple, Squeezed Lemonade, lucky charm, blueprint sketch, and wilted violet Distress Inks on Tim Holtz distress watercolor cardstock.  I then stamped the love ya stamp from the Big Scripty Words stamp set in lobster, sunflower, jalapeno, fish tank, and sugarplam Lawn Fawn inks.  Next, I stamped out the I and S from a Kelly Purkey stamp set and colored it with my black Sakura glaze pen.  Lastly I used my A2 stitched rectangle from Lawn Fawn to create the stitched outline.

I hope you enjoy my card!

  3. Tara, this is BEAUTIFUL! I love how you incorporated the beautiful rainbow and Lin Manuel-Miranda's quote as a fitting tribute to the LGBTQ people and allies who lost their lives. Thank you for sharing this beautiful card, and for entering it into the Lawnscaping Challenge!
